Goal setting is a necessity for me. I don’t necessarily always accomplish all of the things I set out to do in a month, but I consider it a success if even one of them is completed or becomes a habit. I have set some specific goals for this month and wanted to share how I plan on achieving them.
Amanda and I will be filming an ab workout for Team DNA Fitness right before Thanksgiving; which means that for the next three weeks we will change up our workouts and buckle down on our diet. We posted a vlog (below) on what small changes we make to our routine to lose fat and see our hard earned muscles pop. There’s also a cameo from our cat.
I personally have a few other goals that aren’t fitness related and consider them to be just as important.
- Continue setting aside time to spend with God in the morning. I love SheReadsTruth – it’s my go to devotional app. I spend about 15 minutes [before breakfast] reading and writing in my journal. It sets a great tone for the day and is worth waking up a bit earlier.
- Save $$ – I’ve gone a little crazy with the money that was once dedicated to paying off my credit card from Europe. This month I am resisting the urge to spend money on luxuries and moving it right to my savings instead. I am also saying yes to any opportunities to earn more. I walk dogs three times a week and am working more events for Z Tequila. In the past, when “extra” cash would come my way, I’d treat myself. This month I’m depositing the checks rather than cashing them – not even giving myself the chance to buy things I don’t really need.
What are your goals for the month and what steps do you take to make sure they happen??
