My name is Teylor Schiefelbein. I’m twenty-five and living in Austin, Texas.
I love to write about travel and fitness, hence Have Health Will Travel.
I’m not an expert tourist or certified trainer. I simply want to inspire
& motivate you to move your body, eat well and travel often.
I grew up traveling with my parents & have always had a certain curiosity for different
cultures. I committed to a “healthy” lifestyle years ago simply by being more aware of
the food I eat & discovering that I truly enjoy weightlifting. I realized that there isn’t enough
content about how to have a social life + be on the go and still prioritize your health. In
the end, my motto is moderation. Weightlifting changed my body and taught me to embrace
strength and to conquer challenges at the gym and in life. While I do believe food fuels
optimal physical performance, I also enjoy experiencing cultures through food & never
want to miss out due to a “diet.” It’s a delicate balance, but most definitely worth finding.
I hope I inspire you to try a new class or visit a new place!
“I want to get more comfortable being uncomfortable. I want to get more confident being uncertain. I don’t want to shrink back just because something isn’t easy. I want to push back, and make more room in the area between I can’t and I can.”
