A part of me wanted to approach this trip with an “anything goes” spirit. I imagined Nic and I skipping around Europe like vagabonds with full backpacks and dirty hair. However, I know myself better than that. For one, “anything” does not go and two, I’m proud of myself for going 24 hours without washing my hair.
A month away is enough time to long for home; to miss my daily routine. Seven countries means a lot of shuffling luggage from place to place. Thirty days abroad involves a lot of planning for my restless mind. I am posting this in hopes that like-minds might realize that as confusing and stressful the planning can be, I expect it to be worth every minute and penny.
